Accessibility Services
The Office of Accessibility Services provides academic accommodations for BSU students with documented disabling conditions. We strive to improve the educational development of students with disabilities and enhance understanding and support within the campus community.
Advising Center
The Advising Center helps students with things like choosing a major, understanding the degree audit report, getting registered and making progress toward their degree. You’ll also find proctored testing services and get help submitting forms and petitions.
American Indian Resource Center
Centrally located between three of Minnesota’s largest reservations, the AIRC is a place to come together and learn. If you are an American Indian student, you can turn to us for support. If you’re a community member, whether nearby or across the globe, you’re invited to contact us, come visit and participate in the cultural interaction and enrichment opportunities offered here. Bucky’s Cupboard Food Pantry
Bucky’s Cupboard provides supplemental food resources to students in need through some university funding, faculty/staff and student donations and through the generous support of the United Way of the Bemidji Area.

Health & Counseling
Our comprehensive and integrated health care facility includes both health and counseling services. We provide students with access to primary health care, ongoing health maintenance, information about health care and disease prevention, individualized personal counseling, group therapy and a host of outreach health education services.
International Program Center
We provide guidance and support for students who come to us from across the globe as well as for BSU students wishing to study abroad.
Northwoods Queer Outreach
The Northwoods Queer Outreach is an initiative that aims to increase queer and transgender representation, support and acceptance across campus and within the Bemidji community. We provide valuable education and resources for the LGBTQIAP2S+ student community, while promoting a welcoming and inclusive environment for all.
Public Safety
Public Safety provides safety and security to the campus community and ensures an environment where diverse, social, cultural and academic values are allowed to develop and prosper.
Student Emergency Assistance
Random Acts of Kindness
Random Acts of Kindness (pdf) / (online form) micro-grant, sponsored and supported by the Kopp Family Foundation, can aid struggling students with rent, childcare, medical bills, campus expenses and more. Students can apply and receive this micro-grant once per academic year. Please contact Sam Clausen at 218-755-2024 with questions.
Beam
Beam is a Bemidji State University emergency assistance for post-secondary students’ opportunity provided by the 2023 Minnesota legislative session. Students can apply for and receive this one-time emergency funding if they are struggling with food insecurity, housing insecurity, transportation or other unexpected expenses. Beam cannot be used for campus-related expenses such as tuition, campus housing, books, fees, etc. Please contact Sam Clausen at 218-755-2024 with questions.
